About UsOur organisation represents industry professionals with world class expertise and experience in some of the city’s iconic landmark developments that have given the Gold Coast its outstanding character. SDGCI’s principle purpose as a not-for-profit organisation is to monitor and challenge for a better way the sometimes debatable city planning process issues such as how governments – local and state – manage growth of the region. Our concerns as a collective opinion former group, however, extend beyond that into the city’s broader economic landscape. Our organisation’s point of difference to other development industry bodies is that our membership does not represent developers, land owners or companies financing their projects (see membership page). We meet regularly at committee level for a collective and representative voice in the development affairs of the Gold Coast. The focus is on ensuring sustainable growth factors of the city that conjointly meet the best modern standards of development while balancing the necessities of economic, social and environmental awareness.
